About This Policy
This policy explains how Let's Get Together LTD ("we", "us" or "our") handles information in connection with Best Day and our website. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Contact us at hi@ihopeyouhavethebestday.com with privacy questions.
Calendar Information
Private calendar content, including event titles, notes, locations and event times, is processed locally on your device and is not sent to us or our analytics providers. We do not have access to your connected calendars. Calendar access is optional, and Best Day does not create, change or delete events in them. Plans, preferences and activity history are stored locally; widgets and notifications may display limited plan information on your device. Apple and your calendar providers manage their own synchronisation and backup services.
Accounts
Best Day currently works without a separate account. If we introduce optional account features, we may collect information needed to provide them, such as an email address, an account identifier, sign-in information and account settings. We would use this information to operate, secure and support the account. The information required and any additional processing will be explained when the feature is offered. Creating an account will not give us access to private calendar content.
Usage Analytics
We may use aggregated, anonymised statistics to understand how Best Day is used and improve the service. These may include app sessions, return visits, broad feature usage, app and operating system versions, and reliability information. Usage analytics exclude calendar content, personal activity names, notes, locations, routine selections and exact activity times, and are not linked to account details or used to identify individuals. Currently, usage reporting is limited to Apple's developer services, subject to Apple's privacy settings and reporting safeguards; Best Day has no separate analytics SDK. Any additional analytics collection will be disclosed before it begins, with consent and privacy controls where required.
Payments
Apple processes App Store payments and subscriptions under its own terms and privacy policy. Best Day uses verified purchase information to manage membership access. We do not receive your payment card details, and purchases do not require a separate Best Day account.
Support and Communications
If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to provide, including any attachments or diagnostic reports. We use this information to respond to enquiries and resolve problems. Information you voluntarily include in a support message is separate from the private calendar content processed locally by the app. Apple may also provide crash reports or TestFlight feedback in accordance with your settings and its terms.
How Information Is Used and Shared
We use personal information to provide requested services, respond to support enquiries, maintain security and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, our legal bases are performance of a contract for requested services, legitimate interests in supporting and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent for processing that requires it. Service providers may process limited information on our behalf for hosting, email and, if introduced, account or analytics services, subject to appropriate restrictions. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect legal rights. We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising or track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Retention and Security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, taking account of the nature of the information, ongoing support needs and applicable legal requirements. Locally stored app data remains under your control; copies in device backups are subject to your backup settings. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, although no system is completely secure. Service providers may process information outside your country; where required, appropriate safeguards apply to international transfers.
Your Choices and Rights
You can manage app permissions and delete locally stored app data. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access to, correction or deletion of personal information we hold, or request restriction, objection or portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact hi@ihopeyouhavethebestday.com to make a request. We cannot retrieve the plan stored on your device. You may raise concerns with your local data protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Best Day develops. The current version is available at https://ihopeyouhavethebestday.com/privacy, and the date above indicates when it was last updated. Website Hosting
Vercel hosts this website and processes technical request information, including IP addresses, requested pages, browser information and timestamps, to deliver and secure it. The website currently uses no analytics or tracking cookies. Hosting information is separate from your locally stored calendar and plans. See Vercel’s Privacy Notice for further information.
